Where do I start???? A whirlwind few days at the Sherry Campbell Counselling Group!
Well, I guess I'll start with the Greater Fort Erie Chamber of Commerce's Lunch & Learn yesterday at the Boutique Theatre. Sherry did the 'learn' part with an interactive presentation regarding stress in the workplace. My stress in the workplace was lessened by Niagara AV for last minute 'hook me up' services...thanks Mike! The focus was on how much it costs for everyone to be stressed out because of work or just when they are at work. The group seemed to get a few ideas each to get started on their stress free work life. The Boutique Theatre is an awesome venue for doing group presentations. It is kind of a guilty pleasure of mine to see my powerpoint handywork up on the big screen :)
Last night we attended 2011 Niagara Women In Business Awards at Niagara College. Sherry was nominated...we are all very proud here! The food and wine from the college were amazing. The event was planned and executed perfectly by Sun Media crew and WIN members. Police Chief Wendy Southall was the keynote speaker and she rocked the house with inspiration and humour (check out the article in the St. Catharines Standard, some people are up in arms about it). All in all great time and we will attend again next year just to hang with all kinds of interesting and exciting people in the region.
Okay, so I am a little tired as I write this at the Jordan office because Sherry and I trekked to the West Lincoln Chamber of Commerce at 6:15 this morning...it wasn't pretty or perky...yesterday's events left little time for beauty sleep! We arrived there and Sherry did her thing...minus my beautiful powerpoint because my technologically challenged self could not figure out how to hook-up the projector provided (where was Mike this am????). We met a lot of new business people and the Mayor of West Lincoln...plus they fed us really well :)
I can't believe it is Friday tomorrow already...wow the week has flown by! It is good to be busy but I am really looking forward to chilling out on Sunday. Get the takeout menus ready!
Take care,
